Description

This extraordinary fair-trade road bike is a true masterpiece made purely from recycled materials. These unique works of art are handmade by local craftsmen from Madagascar. They are united in a cooperative that provides employment on a fair trade basis to craftsmen who specialize in the special art of upcycling recycled cans.

 

Each item is made by hand with an eye for the smallest details and every road bike is therefore completely unique! The skilled artisans fold, cut and solder these materials using a technique known as "Kapoaka". With every sale of a Kapoaka road bike, these African craftsmen ride a little further towards a fair future for their families.
